Please join us for A Centennial Ceremony of Carols: A Benjamin Britten Holiday Celebration

Benjamin Britten’s first published work was a setting of A Hymn to the Virgin that he wrote at age 17, beginning his lifelong passion for creating direct and powerfully communicative works for the human voice.

Join us for a centennial celebration of Britten (1913-1976), featuring the elite New England Conservatory Chamber Chorus, led by Erica Washburn, the NEC Brass Ensemble and the Back Bay Ringers. In addition to the Hymn to the Virgin, the program will highlight Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, and other holiday works.

Thursday, December 5, 2013, at the WGBH Studios, One Guest Street, Boston
