fiddlers Host Brian O'Donovan recently visited Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia and was impressed with the commitment to traditional music and dance there. On this edition, Brian features traditional fiddle music from the island and talks about what makes the Cape Breton sound so Celtic and yet so unique within the tradition.

William of Orange border= Each year in the six counties of Northern Ireland, July 12 marks the Protestant celebration of the victory of William of Orange (shown) over the Catholic James II at the Battle of the Boyne. On this edition, host Brian O'Donovan celebrates the Protestant traditions in Irish music and song, some of which date back to the Reformation.
