Fmr. State Treas. Tim Cahill Indicted On Corruption Charges
Tim CahillIt’s the latest in a series of public corruption cases to rock state government. A day after his indictment on corruption charges, Tim Cahill is denying any wrongdoing. Attorney general Martha Coakley says the former state treasurer improperly used lottery advertising revenue to bolster his then-floundering bid for governor. We’ll hear from political observers who say while Cahill’s actions may have been shameless, they’re hardly criminal. And from government watchdogs who say misuse of taxpayer funds – however big, small or murky – erodes public trust and needs to be taken seriously.

Guests:
Pam Wilmot, executive director, Common Cause Massachusetts
Peter Ubertaccio, director, The Joseph Martin Institute for Law & Society; chair, Department of Political Science & International Studies at Stonehill College
  Glen Johnson, Boston.com politics editor
