Kathleen Perry discusses her book The Road to Qua Qua Farm. It is the story of Katherine and her husband Henry’s journey living in a hippie commune in the early 1970’s. A small band of hippies from Cambridge moved to the backwoods of Nova Scotia.

We’ll talk with area musicians Tim Sweeney and the members of Tripping Lily about the charm of this instrument and stop in to visit with a 15 member ukulele band on Nantucket.

Every two years the Massachusetts Departments of Education and Heath conduct a Youth Risk Behavior survey in public schools providing information about behaviors and conditions that may compromise health, safety and well being of young people across the state. We look at the results of the latest survey and talk about some of the collaborative programs that have sprung up in our communities response.
