It wasn’t all that long ago that the idea that a computer could hold a conversation or offer advice was squarely in the realm of dime-novels, TV Shows, and sci-fi movies. But today that long-dreamed-of technology has finally come of age. Voice recognition software now makes it possible to control our phones, televisions and even our cars with our voices. That is thanks in large part to the work of Nuance – a software company based just up the road in Burlington, Massachusetts.
