At his arraignment this morning, a defiant Tim Cahill pleads not guilty to public corruption charges. The state argues that while the radio and TV spots ordered by Cahill were masked as lottery ads – their true intent was to boost the former treasurer’s gubernatorial campaign. We’ll get the latest and hear from Boston Globe columnist Scot Lehigh who says a decade ago, instead of an indictment, Cahill’s maneuver would have garnered little more than a nod and a wink.
