Week In Review
A courtroom erupts in shock and anger over the verdict in the Mattapan quadruple murder trial. An acquittal for Edward Washington and a mistrial for Dwayne Moore. And to Florida, was Trayvon Martin really killed for “walking while black”? On today’s show, we round up this week’s top news, from the shooting death of an unarmed African American teenager to the latest in the GOP nominating contest. It was a good couple of days for Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney. A big win in Illinois, a key endorsement. Until, an aide’s unfortunate choice of words stole all the headlines. Plus, thumbs up, thumbs down on banning food donations to the homeless. Kara Miller hosts.

Guests:
Mariellen Burns, chief strategy officer, Regan Communications
Tom Keane, regular columnist for the Boston' Globe’s op-ed page, former Boston City Councilor
James Aloisi, former Massachusetts Secretary of Transportation

The Great Back Bay Blackout
After a smoky electrical transformer fire knocked out power to about 21,000 homes and businesses, sections of the neighborhood are getting back online. But problems are expected to persist into tonight. We’ll have the latest.

Guests:
Garrett Quinn, WGBH contributor and author of the Less is More blog on Boston.com
Meg Mainzer-Cohen, president of the Back Bay Association
Marcia Gregg, a Back Bay resident who (along with her family) lost power (and still doesn’t have it)
David Jacobs, publisher and editor The Boston Courant, covers Back Bay, South End Beacon Hill and Fenway

The Baffler Is Back
The self-described “journal that blunts the cutting edge” is back in print after a two-year hiatus. The Baffler’s latest issue of scathing media, political and cultural criticism hits newsstands tomorrow. And no cow is sacred. (Not even the one that pays its bills).

Guests:
John Summers, editor of The Baffler
Thomas Frank, journalist and author of books like What’s The Matter With Kansas? and most recently, Pity The Billionaire. Founding editor of The Baffler
