Week In Review
WIR 1209Mayor Tom Menino orders the Occupy Boston protestors out of Dewey Square, but a hotly anticipated showdown never really materialized and all but a few have moved along. Where does the movement go from here? Then, despite coming across as a bit robotic in thisweek’s democratic debate, Elizabeth Warren gains ground over Senator Scott Brown in a new poll and Newt Gingrich leaps ahead of the pack and seems poised to give Mitt Romney a run for his money in New Hampshire. Is the former Bay State governor doomed to be always a bridesmaid and never the bride? Or is it allpart of his master plan? And finally, thumbs up, thumbs down on holiday e-cards and Major League Baseball’s dress code for reporters and more.

Guests:
Tom Keane, former city councilor, freelance columnist for the Boston Globe
  Tim Cahill, former state treasurer
  Kara Miller, WGBH contributor

Meg Mainzer-Cohen, president of the Back Bay Association
Marcia Gregg, a Back Bay resident who (along with her family) lost power (and still doesn’t have it)
David Jacobs, publisher and editor The Boston Courant, covers Back Bay, South End Beacon Hill and Fenway

The Baffler Is Back
The self-described “journal that blunts the cutting edge” is back in print after a two-year hiatus. The Baffler’s latest issue of scathing media, political and cultural criticism hits newsstands tomorrow. And no cow is sacred. (Not even the one that pays its bills).

Guests:
John Summers, editor of The Baffler
Thomas Frank, journalist and author of books like What’s The Matter With Kansas? and most recently, Pity The Billionaire. Founding editor of The Baffler
