Obama: Tax Reform Central To Deficit Reduction
Another day, another politically charged debate over taxes for the wealthy. The President unveils his ideas for cutting the nation’s long-term deficit this morning. The plan proposes a minimum tax rate – which Obama is calling the "Buffett Rule" – for those earning more than $1 million a year. We’re joined by the Government Insight Group’s Michael Goldman and by Boston Phoenix political reporter David Bernstein.
