Rupert Murdoch Testifies Before Parliament
He didn’t know anything about it – he never heard of the reporter who got fired for phone hacking – he was misled - he doesn’t remember, he wasn’t told about financial settlements to phone hacking victims. News corporation Chairman Rupert Murdoch appeared before Parliament this morning taking questions from the House of Commons select committee on culture, media and sport about just what he and his son James knew about widespread phone hacking at their weekly newspaper – the now defunct News Of the World. We're joined by Chazy Dowaliby, Editor of the Patriot Ledger and the Enterprise in Brockton, BU's Thomas Fielder, and CUNY'sJeff Jarvis.
