Rep. Richard Neal On Tornado Clean-Up Efforts
$90 million and growing. That is the first estimate of the costs to homeowners as they try to rebuild from last week’s tornados. And that figure only includes residential claims. Cities and town are also scrambling to assess damage to public property – roads, bridges, and public buildings. It’s all part of the process of applying for federal disaster assistance. With that in mind, Congressman Richard Neal – whose second-district includes most of the hardest hit communities – spent the better part of this morning touring Springfield with federal officials from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He joins us.
