Communities in Western and Central Massachusetts begin the long road to recovery after a handful of tornadoes devastated the region earlier this week. In addition to scores of destroyed buildings and houses, state officials are blaming three deaths and hundreds of injuries on the storms. As if there was any doubt, Massachusetts’ former Governor Mitt Romney makes his bid for the White House official in New Hampshire. And not to be outdone – Sarah Palin nips at his heels with unexpected stops in Boston and the Granite State. Meantime, a vastly different outcome for another ‘08 contender. Following a two-year investigation into massive sums of campaign cash used to cover up an extramarital affair, John Edwards is indicted by a federal grand jury. Plus, thumbs up, thumbs down on the people places and issues in the news this week. We’re joined by Boston attorney Cheryl Cronin, WGBH contributor Kara Miller and The Boston Herald’s Dave Wedge.
