The Latest From Joplin, MO
Determined crews in Joplin, Missouri continue to scour the piles of jagged debris – looking for survivors – in the aftermath of the deadliest single tornado in more than 60 years. In the aftermath of this catastrophic storm, Federal Emergency Management Agency Deputy Administrator Richard Serino — who spent years here as the Chief of Boston EMS and assistant director of the Boston Public Health Commission — headed to Joplin to assess the situation and tour the damage in advance of President Obama’s scheduled visit there this weekend. Serino joins us by phone from nearby Kansas City.
