The field of prospective 2012 Republican candidates is anxiously watching. There’s little debate that Dominique Strauss-Kahn and Arnold Schwarzenegger have behaved badly, but what about the media? Has the coverage matched the alleged crimes? The federal corruption trial of Sal DiMasi continues and while the defense is doing its best to cut down the credibility of the prosecution’s star witness, it still doesn’t look good for the former Speaker of the Massachusetts House. And finally – thumbs up, thumbs down on judgment day, lazy cakes and the end of Oprah. We’re joined by State Senator Robert Hedlund, Boston Globe Magazine freelance columnist Tom Keane; and WGBH contributor Kara Miller.
