It’s hard to believe, but just 10 years ago, there was no such thing as an iPod and the hottest mobile phone on the market was a Sanyo flip-phone with a one by one-and-a-half inch screen and a retractable antenna. Technology moves fast these days. In many ways, it is evolving faster than we are. And as our mobile phones, mp3 players, and websites become more and more complex, we understand less and less about how they actually work and what personal details they are revealing about us. Our tech guru Hiawatha Bray joins us to discuss this dark underbelly of the digital age: how our favorite gadgets might just be betraying us.
