Who Are The Navy SEALs?
The search for Osama bin Laden was one of the most extensive and expensive man hunts in United States history. And in the end, with everything on the line and the entire military at his disposal, President Obama turned to a team of Navy SEALs to complete one of the most monumental—and risky —military operations in recent memory. Since the dramatic raid, unprecedented media coverage has raised the public profile of the SEAL community, but still there is still much we don’t know about who the SEALS are and what drives these elite fighters to undertake one of the toughest special operations training programs in the world (one with a dropout rate of 80%). Here to shed some light on that now is Eric Greitens, a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy SEALs, the CEO of The Mission Continues and author of The Heart and the Fist: The education of a humanitarian, the making of a Navy SEAL.
