Michael Sidney Fosberg’s Incognito
Michael Sidney Fosberg had a typical Midwestern upbringing. He was raised in Wisconsin, in a white working-class family, by his biological mother and adoptive father. By 30, he had moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of being an actor. He knew almost nothing about his biological father. The news one day that his mother was getting divorced prompted Michael to search out his biological father. Not only did Michael find him — it brought with it the revelation that Michael Sidney Fosberg was half black. That life-changing experience is the subject of Michael’s book “Incognito: An American Odyssey of Race and Self-Discovery.” Michael also wrote “Incognito”, a one-man play based on the book in which he plays himself.
