Happy Anniversary Health Care
Assuming that Mitt Romney runs for president—and at this point it’s hard to imagine he won’t—the Massachusetts health care law he signed into law five years ago today will be a major liability. That law is widely seen as a precursor to the federal health care law championed by President Barack Obama—a law that’s wildly unpopular with Republican primary voters. And Massachusetts Democrats have made it clear they’ll do everything they can to help GOP loyalists make the connection. Today state Democrats held a party in honor of the Massachusetts law’s fifth anniversary. WGBH’s Adam Reilly joins us with more.
