Week In Review
Conflicting reports from Libya today. Facing Western military action, the country’s Foreign Minister announces a cease-fire, but a rebel spokesman says Moammar Gadhafi's forces are still attacking key cities in the east and the west. In Yemen, a state of emergency is declared after government snipers open fire on protesters and in Japan, officials are raising the severity rating of the nuclear crisis. Closer to home, just back from his international trade mission, Governor Deval Patrick says despite being left in the dark about big dig light problems - he still has confidence in his transportation secretary. WGBH’s Adam Reilly covered the Governor’s press conference this morning and joins us with the latest. Plus, thumbs up, thumbs down on the people, places and issues dominating the headlines this week. We’re joined by Casey Sherman, a journalist and bestselling author of five books including The Finest Hours & Bad Blood; social critic and attorney Wendy Kaminer; and Denterlein’s Terence Burke.
