The Falmouth Experience – The Trouble With One Town's Wind Turbine
As Massachusetts continues to use subsidies and grants to promote the installation of onshore wind turbines, reports have begun to surface about the impact of larger, industrial-sized turbines on human health and peoples' quality of life. All this week, WGBH looks at the effects of turbines on residents in the Cape Cod town of Falmouth. We’re joined by WGBH’s Sean Corcoran, who has reports each day this week about the hidden effects of life under the blades. We’ll also hear from WCAI science editor and author of the Climatide blog, Heather Goldstone, about whether or not scientific evidence supports claims that “sub-audible” noise or “infra-sound” is actually capable of making people sick.
