Last night Hollywood got all dolled up and celebrated the best and brightest in the film industry during the 83rd annual Academy Awards. What started in 1929 as a private ceremony for 270 people has grown into the undisputed granddaddy of awards shows and must-see TV for millions of viewers. But for all its glitz and glamour the Oscars are essentially a party. And as it is with all good parties, the recap is as much fun—if not more fun—than the actual event. And there is plenty to recap from last night—from Melissa Leo’s f-bomb to Cate Blanchet's divisive dress. And of course there were the controversial hosts, the youngest in Oscar history. How did they fare? WGBH’s Jared Bowen and longtime arts & entertainment reporter Joyce Kulhawik join us to help me break down Hollywood’s biggest night.
