What Are You Hearing About The Future Of Somerville?
Somerville has long been derided as “Slumerville” -- shabby, low-income, decidedly down market. The Red Line extension to Davis Square in the mid-80’s sparked a revitalization in that neighborhood that largely put the old moniker to rest. But the vibrancy of Davis Square still eludes many of the city’s other neighborhoods. Rectifying that has been the primary goal of four-term mayor Joseph Curtatone. And he joins us now to talk about T-stops, Assembly Square, and the future of Somerville.
