Jimmy Tingle’s Holiday Show: From his five year run as owner/operator of Jimmy Tingle’s OFF BROADWAY theater in Somerville to appearances on 60 Minutes II and his own HBO comedy special, Jimmy Tingle has been bringing his unique brand of humor to the stage and screen for years. But the award-winning funny man takes his politically-tinged comedy very seriously, recently earning his masters degree from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. Now he’s applying what he learned in those hallowed halls to hilarious results with a new show at Arlington’s Regent theater that is part topical, part timeless and all Tingle.

The Great Back Bay Blackout
After a smoky electrical transformer fire knocked out power to about 21,000 homes and businesses, sections of the neighborhood are getting back online. But problems are expected to persist into tonight. We’ll have the latest.
