Iran Film Festival: Since the 1990s, Iranian filmmakers have been exporting some of the world’s most critically-acclaimed work and capturing awards at festivals around the world. But you need not travel to the far reaches of the globe to see these much-lauded films. For nearly two decades, the MFA in Boston has been showcasing some of the best of contemporary Iranian cinema each year with their annual Festival of Films from Iran. This year’s festival is going on right now. We’re joined by Carter Long, The Katharine Stone White Curator of Film and Video at the MFA and by Granaz Moussavi, an Iranian filmmaker and author.
