Election 2012New Hampshire is the 5th smallest state in the union, but every four years the Granite State gets to exercise some outsized influence on the presidential election thanks to its first-in-the-nation presidential primary. Iowa too, sees a rush of hopefuls in the lead-up to their caucuses. This year, though, the traditional pre-primary buzz has been more of a fizzle. So why are thing so slow in New Hampshire and Iowa with under a year until the primary? And what does it say about the GOP’s chances in November 2012?
