In reference to your piece on only children I absolutely thought of my son as a proirity in my decision not to have more children. It was my intent to have 3 kids but after having him, being primary provider for our family, and eventually becoming a single mother....I didnt think it would be fair to him to further divide my attention and finances. It was not a selfish decision. As for the latter part of our time together, I will certainly do whatever I can to not be a burden on him.

There are sports commentators who I feel should not comment on politics. And there are Emily Rooney and guests, who clearly have no business commenting on sports, as you are all woefully uneducated on the demise of the 2011 Red Sox. To suggest that John Henry gave a GOOD interview on radio is falloutofmychair laughable. He publicly stated that he was opposed to signing a free agent who is now in his employ for the next SIX years, to the tune of $120 million, and who struggled terribly in his first season in Boston. That is not just bad business sense, it is HORRIBLE business sense. Way to tell your multimillion dollar talent that you never wanted him to begin with! And your guest suggested that Francona was NOT a "lame duck manager," again revealing serious ignorance about sports contracts. When a team wants to keep a manager, they extend his contract either before the season of his last year starts, or early in the season. They had this option and declined to exercise it. Which made him a lame duck manager in the final season of his contract. Worst of all though was the guest who gushed over John Henry and his hats. My goodness, you are embarrassing to women like myself.
Massachusetts’ East-West Wealth Gap Continues To Grow
A new study paints a bleak picture of two economic realities here in the Commonwealth. In some western parts of the state, residents make less than they did thirty years ago, while in Greater Boston the median income is up more than fifty percent. How can this be?
