From Brinks To Whitey: Boston’s Criminal Past Is Explored In New Show
In the latest episode of his new Travel Channel program, Hidden City, crime novelist Marcus Sakey digs deep into three of Boston’s most historical crimes: The Great Brinks Robbery, in 1950, the largest robbery ever; The Boston Strangler, the one bogeyman who haunted this city from the cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill to the ivy-draped walls of Cambridge; and James “Whitey” Bulger (above), one of Boston’s most notorious crime bosses.
