Has The Economy Truly Turned The Corner?
CashThere has been some pretty good news, with a modest but meaningful improvement in the economy since the first of the year. The stock market has rallied without much volatility – the DOW even hit 13,000 earlier this week. Unemployment numbers are headed in the right direction. Indicators show that consumer confidence is up. But then, there’s the not so good news. Despite a deal over Greek debt, the is still a great deal of uncertainty with Europe, oil prices are on the rise, there are credible concerns about a confrontation with Iran, Congress is all but intransigent, and the housing market remains in the dumps.
