In the two years since being charged with accepting a $1,000 bribe from an FBI informant, Chuck Turner has been widely described as the ‘embattled’ City Councilor and that moniker largely gels with the six term public servant’s dogged, tenacious persona. So it probably shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that even after his conviction on four felony counts of corruption, he’s still fighting – this time to keep his seat. The council says it will hold a hearing and take a final vote on December 1. Here to explain that decision – and the distraction this fiasco has created – is City Council President Michael Ross.
