Osama bin Laden Is Dead, But Officials Say The War On Terror Is Not Over
Osama Bin LadenOfficials say DNA evidence proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the FBI’s most sought after fugitive is indeed dead. Osama bin Laden, face of global terrorism and architect of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, was killed yesterday in a raid in Pakistan. While the official word from homeland security is that there is no plan to raise the terror alert many are concerned about the possibility of retaliation. We’re joined by Dr. Jim Walsh, an expert in international security and a research associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Security Studies Program. We’ll also check in with Massachusetts Congressman Michael CapuanoRichard Shultz, director of the International Security Studies Program at The Fletcher School, Tufts University; and Jessica Stern, an expert on terrorism, author of Denial: A Memoir of Terror. We’ll also hear from Carie Lemack – whose mother was on one of the planes that crashed into World Trade Center nearly ten years ago.
