1. Chakaia Booker show at the DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum. They also recently started yoga classes on their grand lawn and are bringing back their weekly free nights.?2. Two great new restaurants: Noche in the South End and La Morra in Brookline (a great, new old restaurant)?3. On our date this week Jan and I saw Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work. It's one of the best and only good movies out there right now.?4. Speaking of movies, I finally saw a film (Toy Story 3) on the new AMC IMAX 3-D screen. The screen and technology are phenomenal.?5. Boston Landmarks Orchestra celebrates its 10th anniversary with a summer of free concerts on the Esplanade and a special Fenway Park concert on July 7th.

Jan: ?1. FREE -- Fourth of July concert (of course) on the Esplanade. Saturday, July 3, the crows are smaller since there are no fireworks but the concert is exactly the same. ?2. Row, row, row your boat: Community boating and kayaking on the Charles, all weekend?3. MFA Fridays 5:30 – 9:30 “Socialize Under the Stars”?4. ICA – Abstract artist Francesca DiMattio opens Friday, uses ICA waterfront location for inspiration, her wall-sized canvases feature images of ships and the sea?5. HEAD NORTH: Wingaerseheek Beach in Gloucester less than an hour away (leave early, the parking lot fills up quick). GO TO ESSEX: Fried clams at Farnhams and Woodmans a MUST?6.
