Ever since graduating from Boston College fifteen years ago, with a degree in philosophy, Sawyer has dedicated herself to thinking about and collecting the sort of music that most people would toss on the trash heap. Last year, Sawyer opened Weirdo Records, a small, crowded storefront shop that had previously been based in her Somerville apartment.
She recommends:
- King Uszniewicz and His Uszniewicztones Teenage Dance Party's track "Little Latin Lupe Lu"
- Sun City Girls Dante's Disneyland Inferno's track: "Charles Gocher Sr."
- Sonny Bono's track: "Pammie's On a Bummer Now"
- Baris Manco 2023's track: "Acih Da Baga Vir"
- 'Iannis Xenakis Electronic Music's track: "Concret PH"
