Novelist Edwidge Danticat left Haiti for the United States when she was 12, but her focus as an writer remains trained on her roots. In her latest book “Create Dangerously: The Immigrant Artist At Work," she explores the relationship between the immigrant artist and her homeland. In the wake of January's tragic earthquake and its ramification, that relationship is as important, and complex, as ever. We'll ask her what it means to create dangerously, and at what point horrible realities allow, or call for, a fictional interpretation.
