The results are in. It’s a good year for incumbents. Ayanna Pressley earned the most votes in the Boston City Council At-Large race. It looks like voters thought outside the ballot box, defying the conventional wisdom that Pressley would be the most vulnerable candidate. The rest of the At-Large incumbents also remain safe in their sets. District 7's Tito Jackson took all, and in District 2 incumbent Bill Linehan squeaked by with a margin of 87 votes. The only fresh face in Boston’s legislative body is Frank Baker, who beat John O’Toole in the District 3 derby.

From City Hall, we’ll look at state and national headlines from the Massachusetts senate race, to Bill Clinton’s book tour, complete with tender reprimands for the Democrats.
