I had a lot of fun listening to this episode of quirky Christmas music with Callie and guest Mike Wilkins, WGBH sound engineer and Christmas music cataloguer. I was very happy to share this episode on line with my husband. I couldnt stop smiling and laughing.
How can I get in touch with Mike Wilkins? I would love to get some of this fun music he has collected.

It’s Beginning to Sound a Lot Like (Quirky) Christmas
We’re rocking around the Christmas tree today with an hour devoted to Christmas music. Songs like 'Silent Night' and 'Silver Bells' have long captured the Christmas spirit, but today we’re paying tribute to these treasured tunes with a twist. For more than 20 years, WGBH's Mike Wilkins has been curating an eclectic catalogue of Christmas songs. We’re not talking 'Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer'. These are rarefied recordings, remakes, and remixes- from The Mexacali Brass Band’s re-jiggering of 'Jingle Bells' to the Klezmernauts kicking rendition of 'Good King Wenceslaus'. From marching bands, to the Moog Synthesizer, Tiny Tin to the Theremin, we’re decking the airwaves with cornball, oddball, crazy and zany tunes.
