Bread & Roses Strike Centennial
One hundred years ago, 25,000 mill workers took to the streets in Lawrence, Mass. in demand of better pay and working conditions. It was the first strike of its kind in America- one that became a major turning point in American history. We discuss why the Bread and Roses Strike of 1912 was so memorable, and what impact it has on the 99% today.

GUEST:

Robert Forrant: professor of history and labor studies at UMass Lowell and co-director of the Center for Family, Work and Community. He chairs the Bread & Roses Centennial Committee.
