I find it a little embarrassing that one of the 2 guests brought onto the show to discuss the trilogy "didnt have the time" to see the plays. I found these plays deeply moving and worthy of my time. I also found them unlike any plays I get to see in Boston, which is most important. I like to see communities like mine on a dramatic stage.
The referendum vote could be a turning point for Sudan if Southern Sudan, as many expect, votes to secede from the North. Callie spoke with two members of My Sister's Keeper, a Boston-based organization that brings assistance to women in Sudan, about what to expect in the weeks ahead and how the vote reverberates in New England. Liz Walker is a television journalist, ordained minister, and co-founder of My Sister’s Keeper. Sarah Rial is Program Director for My Sister’s Keeper and a native of Southern Sudan. She is the 2010 recipient of the Eleanor Roosevelt Human Rights Award.
