Voices from the Basement
Before the hole, there was the store. Boston's Filene's Basement resided in Downtown Crossing for 100 years. It was the brainchild of Edward and Lincoln Filene, a place where people from all walks of life could go for deep discounts on high quality goods. Voices from the Basement is a look back at that century of service - a documentary about the customers and employees who passed through the doors of the iconic downtown department store.
GUESTS:
  Michael Bavaro
and Sue Edbril, executive producers of the film Voices from the Basement.
