Candidates' Roundtable
The Boston City Council election cycle is upon us, with the general election on Nov. 8. We continue our candidate roundtables, offering you the chance to decide who to vote for come election day. Today, we’re focusing on the Boston City Councilor At-Large race. There’s seven candidates on the ballot and the roster is as diverse as the city itself- from seasoned politicos, to school teachers, to community activists. The race heated; with four incumbents fighting to save their seats from three outside opponents. The stakes are high; not just for the candidates but for the future of the BostonCity Council. This race could reshape the diversity and dynamics among these lawmakers from the number of women on the council to those representing communities of color. Today we meet four of the seven vying to win or keep a seat on the city council.
Last week we spoke with the other three candidates for Boston City Councilor At-Large.
Guests:
Boston City Councilor At-Large Felix Arroyo
Boston City Councilor At-Large Stephen Murphy
Michael Flaherty
