Goods for Guns

Gift cards in exchange for firearms. A simple idea that has taken more than 2,000 firearms off the streets of Worcester since the gun buyback program was founded by Dr. Michael Hirsh 10 years ago. This year, the Goods for Guns buyback will be held 9 am to 3 pm Dec. 3 and 10 at the Worcester Police Headquarters.

Guest:
  • Dr. Michael Hirsh, Surgeon in Chief of Pediatric Surgery at UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center, where he established the Injury-Free Coalition for Kids and launched the Goods for Guns buyback in 2002.
