Anna Deavere Smith, Let Me Down Easy
We talk with award-winning actor, playwright, and professor Anna Deavere Smith. In her one-woman show, "Let Me Down Easy", she takes on health care. After interviewing 300 people about health care- from celebrities, to caregivers- across three different continents, she whittled these conversations down to 20 characters, which she plays in her signature solo performance. It’s an examination of health, medicine, and the unstoppable, inescapable force of death.
