This sounds like an excellent community program. Rev Brown is very good at finding ways for community agencies to work together which is what we need more of in this city. Thank you Callie.
Earlier this month, law enforcement turned a Mattapan church into a courthouse, inviting non-violent offenders with outstanding warrants to clear their record. The pilot program, which has been implemented in nearly 20 other cities, was a first for Boston. Revered Jeffrey Brown, Director of the Ten Point Coalition, was involved in the planning and implementation, and he joins us to report on how the program went, and whether it took a bite out of more than 54,000 outstanding warrants in Boston.
