The mighty hamburger has been canonized by the likes of the Golden Arches and White Castle, and elevated to high art with five-star treatments in the country's toniest restaurants. Though Morgan Spurlock's "Super-Size Me" thoroughly thrashed the official dinner of the stars-and-stripes, the die-hard burger retains its gastronomic hegemony, nutrition be damned.

May is National Burger Month, and with Memorial Day within striking distance, grillmasters are shaking off the rust, refilling the propane, and firing up the charcoal. This hour we're talking with two die-hard hamburger devotees about the long history of America's favorite snack, from pan-frying to grill-outs to greasy ballpark fare -- and we want to hear about your favorite Boston burgers! Call us at 877-309-8970, and VOTE for your favorite burger joint on our Facebook page.
