MIT's AgeLab has a very specific goal at the heart of its mission: to give every human "100 quality years of living." To accomplish this goal, AgeLab founder and director, Joseph Coughlin created AGNES: the wearable "Age-Gain-Now-Empathy-Suit" that simulates the experience of being a 70-year-old woman. Coughlin hopes designers who wear AGNES will pay closer attention to how products for our aging population are designed, marketed, and used. We talk with Joseph Coughlin about AGNES, and about AgeLab's ongoing mission to help us age gracefully.
