Never before had a movie done so well in what was typically a dead season for film studios. In June we discussed JAWS’ progeny: summer blockbusters. Today we continue the conversation with our film contributor Garen Daly about the smaller films, Independent works and art house gems that will likely get dwarfed by Tinsel Town’s titans, such as Transformers 3 and Captain America.
