Summer Suds

As sweltering summer heat blankets New England, we're taking a look at beverages that will help keep you cool during the year's hottest months. We're talking with the owners of Craft Beer Cellar in Belmont, Kate Baker and Suzanne Schalow, about the long history of beer and why this is the "golden age" of craft brews. Ned Friedman, director of Harvard University's Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain, also joins us. He oversees the growing of hops at the Arboretum -- among many other things -- and also brews his own beer.

We want to hear from you -- what's your favorite microbrew? Have you tried to make your own home brew? Once you've had the good stuff, can you go back to the Silver Bullet? How much has the beer aisle at your liquor store changed over the years, and do you even recognize half the brands anymore? Leave a comment at our Facebook page!
