The independent and self-described socialist Senator from Vermont caught the attention of the nation in December when he gave an eight and a half hour filibuster on the Senate floor. The speech went viral, and the online traffic even crashed the Senate server. The speech can now be read in its entirety in book form: “The Speech: A Historic Filibuster on Corporate Greed and the Decline of Our Middle Class.” This Sunday he will be reading at Porter Square Books in Cambridge at 11:30 a.m. and at the Jamaica Plain Forum at 3:30 p.m.
