Did you know the apple is the most pesticide-laden fruit? The Environmental Working Group has just released its 2011 consumer guide on pesticide and produce- which compares pesticide loads on over 50 fruits and vegetables to give consumers an idea of what we’re getting into– from the supermarket to the farmer’s market. Sara Sciammacco, press secretary for the Environmental Working Group and nutritionist Mary Flynn, a researcher at The Miriam Hospital in Providence and on the faculty at Brown University, joined us.
