Roxtoberfest

Until last year, Roxbury's best restaurants were a well-kept secret. Everything from Ethiopian cuisine to fried fish joints and jazz clubs were under-the-radar haunts for locals; unknown to even Boston's savviest foodies. Enter Roxtoberfest. The weeklong festival was conceived as a way to showcase Roxbury's hidden gems, to get people into the area, exploring neighborhoods and mixing it up with local food lovers.

Now in its second year, Roxtoberfest sports a full roster of restaurants. This year they've also added Roxbury Open Studios to the menu, introducing curious onlookers to Roxbury's painters, jewelers, photographers and sculptors.

There are four more nights for Roxtoberfest - you can check out a full list of events here.
