Local Made Good: Somerville Artist Tim Devin

Tim Devin is a Somerville artist involved in public art that focuses on community engagement. In March, Tim began his latest project, called “BBC Broadsides”, using a most ubiquitous medium: the public flyer. Tim has put up small posters around the Boston area seeking to engage city residents. Some of these posters have facts, such as income statistics and crime statistics... some the posters are street surveys residents can answer by tearing off a slip of paper, asking questions like “Do you identify with where you live?”, and some of these posters are simply lines of poetry. He joins us to discuss his latest project today.
